This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle sport coupe was refurbished in 2015, which included installing a 502ci crate V8 fitted with a ProCharger supercharger, MSD ignition, Holley Sniper fuel injection, and tubular headers that feed a Pypes exhaust system. The car was repainted in metallic blue with white stripes, while the cabin was reupholstered in black vinyl. Further equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, a Hotchkis suspension system, power steering, and staggered-diameter Schott wheels mounted over Wilwood disc brakes. Air conditioning, a center console, and a Kenwood head unit and speakers appoint the cabin. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this Chevelle sport coupe is offered in New York with build records and a clean Florida title.
The car was repainted in metallic blue in 2015, and details include white rally stripes, an extended front air dam, SS and 502 badging, a cowl induction hood, and rectangular exhaust outlets. Close-up photos of the paint and trim are provided in the gallery.
The car rides on a Hotchkis suspension system with tubular front A-arms, shocks, sway bars, and springs that were installed in 2015. The shocks were re-tuned in 2020, according to the selling dealer. Chrome staggered-diameter Schott wheels wear 245/40/18″ front and 315/35/20″ Nitto NT05 tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by a Wilwood four-wheel disc system with six-piston front calipers and drilled and slotted rotors all around.
The front bucket and rear bench seats were reupholstered in black vinyl during the refurbishment. Interior appointments include a center console, an aftermarket shifter, air conditioning, and a Kenwood head unit and speakers. The air conditioning was serviced in May 2020.
The tilting steering wheel frames a Dakota Digital instrument cluster with a tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and supplementary readouts. The odometer shows 29k miles, and the total mileage is unknown.
The GM Performance Parts 502ci V8 crate engine was installed in July 2015, and it is fitted with a ProCharger D150 supercharger, Holley Sniper fuel injection, MSD ignition, and an aluminum radiator with a chrome support cover. The fuel tank, alternator, and battery were replaced in May 2020.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a replacement five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Tubular exhaust headers feed a 3.5″ system with an X-pipe and Pypes mufflers.
