540-Powered 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko SC Tribute 4-Speed for sale on BaT Auctions – sold for $57,400 on December 6, 2021 (Lot #60,946)

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe has been refurbished and modified in the style of a Yenko Camaro SC and is finished in Daytona Yellow over black vinyl upholstery. Power is from a replacement 540ci big-block V8 paired with a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Moser limited-slip rear end with 3.55:1 gears. Additional equipment includes a black vinyl roof cover, Torq Thrust wheels, power-assisted brakes and steering, a Hurst shifter, and an AM/FM stereo. This modified Camaro is offered on dealer consignment with an owner’s manual and a Pennsylvania title.

The car has been refinished in Daytona Yellow with black Yenko/SC hood and side stripes as well as a black vinyl hardtop cover. Additional exterior details include a cowl-induction hood, a retractable antenna, front and rear spoilers, and driving lights in the front valance. The reverse lights are inoperable.

Gray 15″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wear Yenko-branded center caps and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 215/70 up front and 225/70 out back. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and front disc brakes.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl along with a matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Vinyl SYC logos are adhered to the front headrests. Equipment includes a Delco AM/FM radio, a Hurst shifter, a glovebox, and lap belts.

The 540ci V8 is said to have been built using a Dart Big M block with four-bolt main bearing caps as well as forged pistons with 10.5:1 compression, Iron Eagle square-port cast iron cylinder heads, a hydraulic roller camshaft, and roller rockers. Induction is from a Holley double-pumper carburetor on an aluminum intake manifold, and coated Hooker long-tube headers feed a dual exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Centerforce II clutch, a Muncie M21 four-speed transmission, and a 12-bolt Moser limited-slip rear end with 3.55:1 gears. Transmission and exhaust leaks are noted by the selling dealer along with interference between a muffler and the differential cover.
