This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was built at the Van Nuys, California plant and delivered new to Kenneth Chevrolet of Hawthorne, California. The car is finished in LeMans Blue over blue vinyl and is powered by a numbers-matching 302ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear axle. Equipment includes the Rally Sport package, a black vinyl roof, 15″ Rally wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, and a Hurst shifter. The car was acquired by the seller in 2021 and subsequent service included mounting four Goodyear Polyglas tires, a tune-up, and a valve adjustment. This Camaro Z/28 is now offered with a 1968 dealer purchase order, historical registrations, a Protect-o-Plate, a black California license plate and registration, and a clean Iowa title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in LeMans Blue with white stripes and a black vinyl roof. Features include hideaway headlamps, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, Rally Sport badging, dual exhaust outlets, and bright-finished trim.
The 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings with hubcaps and wear Goodyear Polyglas F70 tires that were reportedly mounted in November 2021. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in blue vinyl upholstery with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Additional interior appointments include lap belts, manual windows, a Hurst shift lever, and a Delco radio.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer. Auxiliary gauges are housed below the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 400 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The numbers-matching 302ci V8 is fitted with a chrome air cleaner and valve covers. A service conducted in February 2022 reportedly included performing a tune-up and adjusting the valves.
A photo of the engine stamping shows the sequence 328129, which matches the last six digits of the vehicle’s chassis number. A selection of stamping images and date codes is shown in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear axle. Additional underbody photographs are provided in the gallery.
