This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is finished in maroon over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 396ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a 12-bolt rear axle, 15″ Rally wheels, chrome bumpers, drum brakes, a heater and defroster, front bucket seats with lap belts, a center console, and a Delco push-button radio. The car was refurbished under previous ownership and was acquired by the seller on BaT in November 2021. This Chevelle SS is offered with refurbishment photos, removed hubcaps, and a Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Madeira Maroon Metallic (NN) and was repainted under previous ownership. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, quadruple headlights, a vented hood, SS 396 badging, white side stripes, and twin side mirrors. The seller notes a ding in the hood and other paint chips are shown in the gallery below.
Rally-style 15″ wheels feature chrome beauty rings and are mounted with Firestone redline tires. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners. A set of SS-branded hubcaps are included in the sale.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and a reach bench trimmed in black vinyl upholstery along with a color-coordinated dash, carpeting, and door panels. Amenities include a heater, front and rear lap belts, front quarter windows, manual side windows, a center console, and a push-button Delco AM radio. There is a hole in the headliner on the driver’s side.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph horizontal speedometer and a fuel level gauge, and an analog clock is mounted ahead of the shifter. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 396ci Turbo-Jet V8 was rated at 325 horsepower when new, and features a four-barrel carburetor, an orange-finished block and cylinder heads, and chrome valve covers. The seller states there is oil seeping from the engine, and the last oil change was performed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a 12-bolt rear axle.
