This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was acquired by the seller in 2004 and subsequently underwent a multi-year refurbishment in the style of a Yenko Camaro SS. The car has been refinished in red with a black vinyl top over a red interior, and power comes from a replacement 427ci stroker V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction limited-slip rear end with 3.73:1 gears. Other equipment includes a Yenko-style hood, power-assisted front disc brakes, staggered rear air shocks, power steering, a 650-cfm carburetor, Yenko-branded valve covers, tubular headers, an aluminum radiator, Vintage Air climate control, electric windows, a full-length center console with auxiliary gauges, and a retro-style radio playing through aftermarket speakers. This modified Camaro is offered with records from current ownership, refurbishment photos, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body has been stripped, epoxy-primed, and refinished in red with black stripes and features a vinyl roof covering, front and rear spoilers, a Yenko-style twin-scoop hood with hold-down pins, a custom dual-exit exhaust system, and chrome-finished trim and bumpers as well as Yenko, SS, and 427 badging. The seller states that the door shells were replaced during the refurbishment.
Torq Thrust–style 15″ wheels wear Yenko-branded center caps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 215/60 front and 255/60 rear. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the suspension has been modified with staggered rear air shocks.
The Deluxe interior is trimmed in red with black inlays on the bucket seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and replacement carpeting. Amenities include a full-length center console, electric windows, lap belts, Vintage Air air conditioning, a Yenko glovebox badge, Dynamat insulation, an analog clock, and a retro-look AM/FM radio that plays through aftermarket speakers and two trunk-mounted amplifiers.
A woodgrain steering wheel fronts a color-matched steel dashboard that houses a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Center-console-mounted gauges measure oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates just over 700 miles, and true mileage is unknown. The seller has added approximately 1,500 miles.
A 350ci V8 was succeeded by a replacement 454ci big-block V8 that is said have been de-stroked and overbored to displace 427ci. The seller states that an oil change was carried out in preparation for the sale, and additional details of the build include:
