This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible is an early-production model that was built at the Van Nuys, California plant on September 6, 1966. The Fisher body tag displays “LOS 18” as the body number, and the car was initially delivered to Streator Chevrolet in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was acquired by the seller in 2018, and a 2022 refurbishment involved repainting the car black, replacing the white soft top, overhauling the two-speed automatic transmission, and equipping the 327ci V8 with a revised camshaft, cylinder heads, and intake manifold. Additional equipment includes disc brakes, coilovers, and drop spindles up front in addition to a Vintage Air climate control system and heated front seats. This Camaro convertible is now offered with an NCRS Shipping Data Report, a MacNeish Report, a MacNeish Certificate of Authenticity, a car cover, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Granada Gold, the body was repainted black under current ownership. A replacement white soft tip is fitted, and the car has a front accent band, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. A hole in the soft top is depicted in the gallery below.
American Racing 15″ Torq Thrust II wheels are mounted with 205/70 Michelin tires. Viking coilovers, drop spindles, and disc brakes have been installed up front.
The refreshed cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in black vinyl with white accents. Heated seats and a Vintage Air climate control system have been installed.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and an auxiliary gauge for fuel level. A pair of aftermarket readouts and an analog clock are housed ahead of the shifter. The five-digit odometer shows 78k miles, approximately 25k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci L30 V8 was equipped from the factory with a four-barrel carburetor. An Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and cylinder heads are fitted, and the seller notes that an L79-specification camshaft was also installed. Leaks at the oil pan and transmission are noted.
The engine stamping is shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, which the seller states was overhauled in 2022.
