This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS 396 convertible was built at the Van Nuys, California plant on March 10, 1967, and was sold new at Rancho Chevrolet in Reseda, California. The car spent time in California and other states before being acquired by the seller on BaT in July 2019. It is finished in Bolero Red with a white soft top over white vinyl and powered by a numbers-matching 396ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes the Rally Sport package, Interior Decor package, Special Instrumentation package, power soft top, power-assisted front disc brakes, a dual exhaust system, Strato bucket seats, tinted glass, power windows, and a push-button AM/FM radio. Work since 2019 has consisted of a tune-up, brake service, and replacing the convertible top frame and soft-top. This Camaro RS/SS is offered at no reserve with service records, the original Protect-O-Plate, owner’s manuals, an accessory brochure, an NCRS shipping-data report, a Super Chevy magazine featuring the car, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Bolero Red and features a power white convertible soft top, pinstripes, bright rocker and wheel well moldings, a luggage rack, hideaway headlamps, chrome bumpers, SS badging, and dual exhaust outlets. The Super Sport package added non-functional hood vents, nose striping, and exterior badging on the fenders, grille, and center-mount fuel cap. Exterior imperfections are displayed up close in the photo gallery. The seller states the soft top, top weatherstrips, and frame have been replaced.

Steel 14″ rally wheels wear N96 mag-style full covers and are mounted with Firestone Super Sport Wide Oval whitewall tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Service since 2019 has included rebuilding and sleeving the front brake calipers, replacing the brake pads, rear wheel cylinders, and master cylinder.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k rpm tachometer. The Special Instrumentation package added a trio of gauges to the center console. The five-digit odometer shows 25k miles, approximately 400 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The speed warning buzzer and electric clock do not work.

The numbers-matching 396ci Turbo-Jet V8 was factory rated at 325 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque and features chrome valve covers, a heavy-duty radiator and alternator, a dual exhaust system, and an optional GM Air Injection Reactor smog pump. An oil change and coolant flush have been completed and the carburetor was rebuilt in preparation for sale.
