This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is finished in Marina Blue with a white front accent stripe over black vinyl and is powered by a replacement 355ci V8 paired with a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission and positraction rear axle. Equipment includes the Rally Sport equipment package, Interior Decor package, tinted windows, a dual exhaust system, bucket seats, air conditioning, a center console, a 1969 model cowl hood, power steering, front disc brakes, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car is said to have been purchased in 1979 from the previous owner in Florida and subsequently refurbished in the late-1990s. This Camaro RS/SS is offered with awards, refurbishment photos, and a New York registration in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished in Marina Blue with white front accent stripes during the refurbishment in 1998. Exterior features include hideaway headlamps, chrome bumpers, tinted glass, SS badging, pinstripes, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that the car was involved in a rear-end accident under previous ownership and that during refurbishment the rear quarter panels, fender wells, tulip panel, trunk pan, and rear panel were replaced. Rust is visible on the door and inside the roof panel, and the hi-beam headlamps do not work.
Silver-painted 15″ staggered-width Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings with hubcaps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with matching door panels that are complemented by a black dashboard, console, and carpeting. Additional interior appointments include a center console, lap belts, power windows, a Hurst shifter, black rubber floor mats, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The seller states that the air conditioning does not work.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k rpm tachometer. The seller installed a tachometer in the factory fuel gauge location as well as the Special Instrumentation package which included a trio of gauges in the center console. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 25k of which have been added by the seller.
The replacement 350ci V8 is equipped with chrome Chevrolet-branded valve covers. The seller notes the carburetor sticks at times and should be rebuilt.
