This 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS Sport Coupe is finished in black over red vinyl and is powered by a replacement 350ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in March 2022, and refurbishment work under prior ownership reportedly included repainting the car, refreshing the interior, and overhauling the brakes and suspension. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, 14″ American Racing wheels, and an aftermarket stereo. This Impala SS is now offered by the selling dealer with New York registration.
The car was repainted black under prior ownership, with additional work reportedly including the replacement of the bumpers, lights, glass, and trim. Features include an engine-turned aluminum tail panel, chrome bumpers and trim, and dual exhaust outlets that exit behind the rear wheels.
American Racing 14″ Torq-Thrust wheels and BFGoodrich Radial tires were installed in 2022, according to the selling dealer. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The springs, shocks, and brake components are said to have been replaced under previous ownership.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been upholstered in red vinyl. Additional refurbishment work included installing sound-deadening material and replacing the carpet, door handles, door panels, headliner, and weather stripping, according to the selling dealer. Appointments include a center console, engine-turned aluminum interior trim, Impala-branded floor mats, crank windows, and an aftermarket stereo.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a fuel level gauge, and an analog clock. A tachometer is affixed to the steering column, and three auxiliary gauges are mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 97k miles, approximately 150 of which have been added by the selling dealer. The numbers on the mechanical odometer are fading. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci V8 was reportedly installed in 2020 and features dual Edelbrock carburetors. Additional work is said to have included the replacement of the radiator, heater core, and fuel tank. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
