This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is a red-over-black coupe that was acquired as a project by the seller’s father-in-law in 1996 from a seller in Texas, and it was acquired by the seller and his spouse in 2010. It is powered by a 327ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes 15″ Cragar S/S wheels, a CD stereo, a Hurst shifter, a rear spoiler, traction bars, and tubular exhaust headers, along with an Edelbrock intake manifold, carburetor, and valve covers. Work during the refurbishment performed by the seller’s father-in-law included the installation of 3.73 gearing, retrimming the interior, and fitting a custom console with AutoMeter gauges. This Camaro is now offered at no reserve with a clean Colorado title in the name of the seller’s spouse.
The exterior is finished in red with contrasting white stripes on the hood and rear deck, and the car is equipped with tinted windows and a rear spoiler. The hood, left-front fender, and left door were refinished during current ownership to repair scratches. The windshield is cracked, rust is visible in the fender wells and rain channels, and other flaws in the finish are shown in the gallery below. The seller notes that the rear quarter window seals need to be replaced.
Chrome-finished Cragar S/S wheels measure 14″ in diameter up front and 15″ out back, and they are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with raised white letters. The car is equipped with front disc brakes. The seller notes a vibration around 65 mph.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that were recovered with black vinyl upholstery and houndstooth cloth inserts. Equipment includes a Hurst shifter and a CD stereo, and a custom-fabricated center console houses speakers and ancillary gauges. The headliner is loose by the rear windows, and the seller notes that the left window comes off its track when rolled up.
The aftermarket steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge, and a tachometer has been mounted on the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows just under 80k miles, approximately 2k of which were added during current ownership. The seller states that the speedometer does not read accurately, and total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 has been modified with an Edelbrock intake manifold, carburetor, air-filter cover, and valve covers, along with tubular headers paired with a dual exhaust system. The seller notes that the engine drips some oil and that it has not been tuned to run at high altitudes.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a ten-bolt differential with a 3.73:1 axle ratio, and traction bars have been installed.
