Real Deal 1968 Ford Mustang Coyote 5-Liter Pro Touring Fastback

Here we have a real deal 1968 Ford Mustang Coyote 5-liter Pro Touring Fastback. This is not one of those kit cars and was originally built from the factory as a two-door Mustang fastback. It includes over 90 photos of the complete frame off restoration and has been fully documented with a 3-inch binder of documentation and receipts.

Specifications

The car is powered by a Ford Performance Gen 2 5-liter Coyote crate engine and paired up with a TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission and a proven Ford nine-inch rear end. The exterior is styled in the original color of Wimbledon White and features staggered US Mag wheels and Wilwood disc brakes. The interior has been upgraded with Sierra grain red leather and modern amenities such as air conditioning and power steering have been added.

Underbody Upgrades

Where this Mustang really outperforms the rest is the solid and stout underbody with Mustangs to Fear front independent suspension, front subframe frame stiffeners, QA1 coil overs all the way around, and even a Mustangs to Fear knock down four-link system.

Custom Wheels and Exterior

We have the American Racing VN 427 Shelby Cobra gray painted wheels with a unique 10 spoke step 5 lug two-piece design. The marty report for this original fastback Mustang showcases the Wimbledon White paint that is still a current color on this Mustang. The exterior also features a modern twist with Resto Modded LED split headlight design and working yellow factory grille fog lights.

Interior

The fully restored factory-styled OEM deluxe interior features TMI Sport 2 seating, new door panels, Mustangs to Fear one-piece headliner with built-in map lights, a new ACP center console, a new Hurst shifter, and even new carpet and floor mats. This Mustang also has the added amenity of vintage air conditioning and heating.

Engine

Under the steel Shelby hood, this Mustang is powered by a Gen 2 5-liter Coyote crate engine paired with a Ford Performance Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission. The engine bay is meticulously wire-tucked and features a satin black air induction system and a dual aluminum core radiator with dual electric fans.

Underbody

The underbody of this Mustang features ceramic rock protection coating, Mustangs to Fear full frame kit, tubular upper and lower control arms, power rack and pinion steering, QA1 adjustable coil overs, a welded Mustangs to Fear 4-link system, stainless steel exhaust system, and much more.
