This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was the subject of a refurbishment and custom build completed prior to the seller’s purchase in 2023. The car is powered by a 496ci stroker V8 linked to a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission, and it was refinished in red over an interior re-trimmed in white and black upholstery. Equipment includes a multi-link suspension system, a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a dual exhaust system, 18″ American Racing alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, front lowering springs, and adjustable shocks as well as a Nardi steering wheel, a B&M shifter, lap belts, auxiliary gauges, and a push-button radio. This Camaro is now offered with a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The exterior was repainted red as part of the refurbishment and features a cowl hood and chrome bumpers. The windshield wiper motor has been removed. There are chips in the paint on the right door as well as the lower driver’s door and rocker panel.
Gray-finished 18″ American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels are mounted with 225/45 front and 285/40 rear Hercules Raptis R-T5tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with cross-drilled and slotted rotors up front, and aftermarket subframe connectors are installed. The seller notes that Hotchkis 3″ lowering springs were installed up front, and Competition Engineering adjustable drag shocks are mounted at all four corners.
The front bucket seats, rear bench, and door panels were reupholstered in white leather, and the seating surfaces feature black pleated cloth inserts. A black center console is accompanied by a B&M shifter, a locking glove box, a shifter-mounted analog clock, a padded dashboard, lap belts for all occupants, and a push-button radio linked to rear shelf-mounted speakers. The carpeting and the ignition lock cylinder were replaced.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a column-mounted AutoMeter tachometer, while AutoMeter gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are mounted under the dashboard. The fuel-level gauge is inoperative. The five-digit odometer shows 153 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 496ci stroker V8 was reportedly sourced from Detroit Power Engines and features a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Assault Racing aluminum cylinder heads, Hooker Super Comp exhaust headers, Chevrolet-logo filtered breathers, and an aluminum radiator. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition control box is mounted to the firewall, but the wiring is not connected.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Coan Racing-sourced three-speed TH400 automatic transmission and torque converter, a replacement driveshaft, and a 9″ rear end with 3.60:1 gearing. The car was fitted with a transmission oil cooler and an aftermarket dual exhaust system with 3″ cutouts.
