This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 two-door sedan was first delivered to Murray-Bryant Chevrolet of Tucson, Arizona, and the seller states that they acquired it from the original owner in 1980. The car was refinished in turquoise in 1996, and a 350ci V8 and a four-speed manual transmission were installed in 1999. Additional equipment includes a Positraction limited-slip rear differential, a dual exhaust system, Hooker long-tube exhaust headers, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, 15″ Centerline wheels, and an aftermarket AM/FM radio. This Chevelle 300 is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a Protect-O-Plate, service records, an additional set of wheels, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Nantucket Blue with an Ermine White roof, and it was refinished in turquoise in 1996. The bumpers were also re-chromed and the body mounts were replaced. Per the seller, previous bodywork in the 1980s involved repairing damage to the right front fender and corner of the hood as well as the replacement of the panel between the tail lights following a rear-end collision. Equipment includes quad headlights, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, electric windshield wipers, quarter vent windows, and bright trim. The seller notes that the windshield washer only works intermittently. The 15″ Centerline wheels are mounted with 225/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires up front and 255/60 rear Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires out back. A spare is housed in the trunk. Power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, a larger front sway bar, a rear sway bar, and polyurethane suspension bushings were fitted under current ownership.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in turquoise vinyl. Interior appointments include front bucket seats, a heater, a lighted glove box, and an aftermarket AM/FM radio. The clock does not work.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. Auxiliary gauges are mounted underneath the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, though the seller states approximately 190k were added under their ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was installed in 1999 and the seller states that it has cast iron cylinder heads, stainless steel valves, a solid-lifter camshaft, Crane adjustable roller rocker arms, hypereutectic pistons, and a 9:1 compression ratio. The oil pump, bearings, piston rings, and gaskets and seals were replaced in 2020.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip rear differential. The transmission was installed in 1999, the 12-bolt rear end was installed in 2007, and the driveshaft is said to have been rebuilt. The seller notes seepage where the axle tube enters the differential housing.
