This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro was built at the Norwood, Ohio, GM plant and was delivered new to Leighton Chevrolet in York, Maine. The car is finished in Tuxedo Black over a red interior and powered by a numbers-matching 250ci Turbo-Thrift inline-six paired with a Saginaw three-speed manual transmission. Features include black 14″ steel wheels with hubcaps, Firestone redline tires, unassisted brakes and steering, front bucket seats, a heater/defroster, lap belts, and a push-button AM radio. The car was acquired by the seller in 2021, and subsequent service consisted of brake replacement along with carburetor, starter, smog pump, and front control arm rebuild. This Camaro is offered with a Protect-O-Plate, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.

Originally finished in Ermine White, the car was repainted in its current Tuxedo Black under previous ownership. Sheet metal is said to have been replaced for rust repair as part of the process. Black 14″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and 7.75-14 Firestone Deluxe Champion redline tires. Stopping power is provided by unassisted drum brakes at all four corners. The brakes and front shock absorbers are said to have been replaced, front control arms rebuilt, and the brake fluid replaced during bleeding.

The cabin features front bucket and rear bench seats trimmed in red vinyl along with a matching dash, door panels, and carpeting. Appointments include a heater/defroster, lap belts, crank windows, black rubber floor mats, and a Delco push-button AM radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge, while an Autogage tachometer is mounted to the underside of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, with the actual total unknown.

The numbers-matching 250ci Turbo-Thrift inline-six was factory rated at 155 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with a smog pump. The starter, smog pump, and carburetor are said to have been rebuilt and the fuel line replaced during current ownership.
