This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is a blue-on-blue example that is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 17″ Ridler five-spoke wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, bucket seats, an AutoMeter tachometer, and a Kenwood CD player. The bodywork was repainted and the engine was installed in the 1990s, and the car was acquired by the seller in 2014. Work completed under current ownership includes reupholstering the seats, refreshing the brakes, rebuilding the Edelbrock carburetor, and installing a 3.08:1 Positraction differential, Vintage Air climate control, and JL Audio subwoofers. This Chevelle is now offered with records from current ownership and a California title.
The car was repainted metallic blue in the 1990s and features chrome trim on the bumpers, grille, and window surrounds. Features include quadruple headlamps, Malibu SS and 350 badging, and dual exhaust outlets. The rocker panel trim is missing, side mirrors are not installed, and various paint and body imperfections are present.
Ridler 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels wear Nexen tires measuring 215/50 up front and 235/30 out back. Equipment includes power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes. Service in December 2017 included replacing the brake calipers, pads, and hoses.
The front bucket and rear bench seats were reupholstered in two-tone blue with microfiber inserts in 2014. Equipment includes an aftermarket floor shifter, a Grant GT steering wheel, Vintage Air climate control, a Kenwood CD player, and trunk-mounted JL Audio subwoofers. The door panels show signs of wear.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, an AutoMeter tachometer, a combination gauge, and a coolant temperature gauge mounted to the bottom of the dashboard. The fuel-level gauge does not work. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, approximately 6k of which have been added under current ownership. A replacement odometer was installed under prior ownership, and total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was sourced from Sallee Chevrolet of Milton-Freewater, Oregon in August 2004 and is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor, an open-element air cleaner, Chevrolet logo valve covers, and an aluminum radiator. An electric fuel pump was installed in 2016.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, and a 3.08:1 Positraction differential was installed in 2017. Additional underside images are provided in the gallery.
