This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is finished in Glacier Gray over blue and was purchased new at Fairway Chevrolet of San Bruno, California on December 24, 1964. Power is provided by a 283ci V8 paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, and additional features include power steering, a center console, Malibu SS badging, 17″ American Racing wheels, and a Delco push-button AM radio. The car was sold by the original owner in 2020 and was later acquired by the selling dealer in 2021. This first-generation Malibu SS is offered at no reserve with a Protect–O–Plate, manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, and a clean Texas title.
This two-door sport coupe is finished in Glacier Gray, and features include a fender-mounted antenna, Malibu SS badging, chrome trim and bumpers, and quad headlamps. Paint touch-ups, chips, and blemishes are shown in the gallery.
The 17″ American Racing wheels are mounted with 235/45 Nitto NT555 G2 tires. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. Equipment includes power steering and KYB shock absorbers, and braking is handled by hydraulic drums at all four corners. The removed SS hubcaps are included in the sale.
The cabin features front buckets and a rear bench seat upholstered in two-tone blue vinyl joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Features include a full-length center console, lockable glovebox, rear speaker, lap belts, polished door sills, rubber floor mats, and a Delco push-button AM radio. The driver seat cover is torn and corrosion is noted below the mat in the trunk.
The two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring frames a 120-mph speedometer, electric clock, and a multi-function gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 32k miles, a handful of which were added by the selling dealer. The gauge covers are scratched.
The 283ci V8 breathes through a Rochester two-barrel carburetor and features an orange-painted engine block and Chevrolet script valve covers. Corrosion is visible on engine components. The removed alternator is included in the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.
