This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was purchased by the seller in 2010 as a project and has since undergone a custom build featuring a blue-finished steel body from Dynacorn, the installation of a 489ci stroker V8 engine, a five-speed manual transmission, and a 12-bolt Positraction differential. Additional modifications include updated suspension components, front disc brakes, and a refurbished interior. Driven approximately 3,500 miles since completion of the build in 2013, this Camaro is now offered with records and literature, a spare Muncie four-speed manual transmission, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The steel body was sourced from Dynacorn and is finished in blue with a white convertible top. Features include a front air dam, white nose stripes, and “SS” badging. The finish is shown up close in the photo gallery below, and the seller notes that the vent-window gaskets are absent and the rear-window hinge gasket requires repair. A painted spare trunk lid and RS-style spoiler is included in the sale.
Silver-finished Rallye-style wheels with chrome hubcaps are fitted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Disc brakes are fitted up front, and the vehicle features Varishock rear coilovers with Chris Alston’s Chassisworks radius rods.
The high-back front bucket seats and rear bench have been reupholstered in blue with matching houndstooth inserts. Additional features include a Hurst shifter, a period-style stereo unit, and supplemental gauges housed atop the center console.
The five-digit odometer is reported to show 3,500 miles, reflecting distance traveled since completion of the refurbishment; actual chassis mileage is unknown. The seller notes that the tachometer and dash lights are inoperative.
The replacement 454ci V8 has been stroked to a displacement of 489ci. Other equipment includes an aluminum intake manifold, finned valve covers, and Hooker exhaust headers as well as an aluminum radiator paired with an electric cooling fan.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Richmond five-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. A spare Muncie M21 four-speed manual gearbox is included in the sale and pictured in the gallery.
Factory manuals, assorted literature, and service records from current ownership will accompany the car. The Colorado title describes the vehicle as a 1967 Chevrolet, with no model listed. Videos featuring this Camaro are presented below, and are accompanied by an additional video from the seller.
