This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible is said to have been refurbished in 2014 under previous ownership, with work consisting of refinishing the car in red, fitting a replacement white soft top, reupholstering the black interior, and installing a replacement 350ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt Positraction differential. Additional features include a black convertible top boot cover, a cowled hood, front and rear spoilers, 15″ American Racing wheels, and power-assisted front disc brakes in addition to a retro-look digital stereo, a Hurst shifter, Dakota Digital instrumentation, Patriot long-tube headers, and a Hotchkis tunnel brace. The car was acquired by the seller in 2021, and work under current ownership reportedly consisted of replacing the carburetor, overhauling the distributor, servicing the brakes, and changing various fluids. This Camaro convertible is now offered with an additional set of Cragar S/S wheels, service records, manufacturer’s literature, and transferable New York registration in the seller’s name.
The body was delivered from the factory in Marina Blue and was refinished in red during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior equipment includes a replacement white convertible top, a black convertible top boot cover, a cowled hood, front and rear spoilers, a driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers. A replacement lock set was installed under current ownership according to the seller, who reports that the windows need to be adjusted as they do not meet the bottom of the convertible top.
Polished 15″ American racing wheels with black pockets are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires measuring 215/65 up front and 245/60 out back. Aftermarket shocks and replacement springs are fitted. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, which were reportedly serviced under current ownership. Additional work since 2021 reportedly consisted of resealing the steering box and replacing the upper and lower control arms, sway bar bushings, ball joints, and various steering components including the inner and outer tie rods, adjustment links, and the pitman and idler arms.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench reupholstered in black vinyl with white accents. The seller notes that a 2” seat extension has been added to accommodate a taller driver, and additional appointments include a reto-look digital stereo, a Hurst shifter, a locking glovebox, Camaro SS-branded floor mats, a heater, and lap belts for all occupants. A fire extinguisher is housed in the trunk. Per the seller, the parking brake wiring and microswitch were replaced under current ownership along with various trim pieces and fasteners.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Dakota Digital RTX-series gauges that include a 160-mph speedometer with a digital speed readout and an 8k-rpm tachometer with an inset digital clock. The digital odometer shows 780 miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 is said to be a Chevrolet ZZ3 crate engine that was reportedly installed in 2014. It is equipped with an Edelbrock air cleaner assembly, a Champion aluminum radiator, and Patriot long-tube headers that flow into an aftermarket exhaust system. Work under current ownership reportedly included an overhaul of the distributor, the replacement of the carburetor and starter, and an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt 3.55:1 Positraction differential. A replacement clutch and fuel tank are said to be fitted along with subframe connectors and a Hotchkis tunnel brace. The fluids for the transmission and rear differential were reportedly changed under current ownership.
