This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 is a two-door sedan that is said to have been the subject of a refurbishment and custom build completed prior to the seller’s acquisition in July 2021. Work included a repaint in black, refreshing the interior using red vinyl upholstery, overhauling the braking and suspension systems, and installing a 454ci V8 paired with a TKO five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end with Moser axles and a 3.89:1 limited-slip differential. The car is said to have been sold new at De Anza Chevrolet of Riverside, California, and was acquired by the seller in July 2021. Black-finished 17″ steel wheels wear silver Chevrolet-branded hubcaps and are wrapped in Sumitomo HTR A/S P03 tires measuring 225/55 up front and 245/50 out back and showing 2020 and 2021 date codes, respectively. The car has been modified with power steering, front drop spindles, rear lowering springs, and power-assisted front disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder. A spare 15″ wheel wearing a 195/65 Street-H HH11 tire is located in the trunk.

The cabin was reportedly refreshed during the refurbishment and features front and rear bench seats trimmed in red vinyl with a matching dash pad and door panels. Chevelle-branded floor mats line the footwells, and equipment includes Billet Specialties pedals, lap belts, and a Custom AutoSound radio with auxiliary connectivity.

The Billet Specialties 14″ flat-bottomed steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit tilting column and frames Dakota Digital VHX instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 260 miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 454ci V8 features a Holley Street Brawler four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold, an HEI distributor, and rectangular-port cylinder heads along with the following:

  • Aluminum radiator overfill canister
  • Aftermarket accessory pulley system
  • Double-roller timing chain
  • Russell braided fuel lines
  • Taylor plug wires w/separators
