This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS coupe has been repainted in Madeira Maroon and is powered by a numbers-matching 396ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and a 4.11:1 Positraction rear end. The car was acquired by the seller in 2015, and work has since included an interior refresh in black, as well as mechanical work as outlined below. A Quick Fuel 750-cfm carburetor has been added, along with a replacement fuel tank, wiring harness, dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers, a Vintage Air A/C system, a period AM/FM radio, and much more. Maintenance within the last 100 miles is said to have consisted of replacing the spark plugs and performing an oil change. This Chevelle SS is now being offered with records from current ownership and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car was originally finished in Tahoe Turquoise (L) and has been repainted in Madeira Maroon under previous ownership. A vinyl roof has also been installed, and additional features include chrome trim, bumpers with overriders, side-view mirrors, and SS 396 badging.
Refurbished 15” Rallye wheels feature chrome trim rings and hubcaps and are wrapped in BFGoodrich redline tires sized 215/70. The brakes are said to have been overhauled with replacement lines and emergency brake cables fitted. An AGR Performance steering box has been installed, along with stainless steel power steering lines and a new steering linkage. Suspension work reportedly included replacement of the following parts:

Additional amenities include a period-style AM/FM radio and speakers, as well as branded rubber floor mats and three-point seat belts. A factory Multiplex radio is mounted under the dashboard.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to a rebuilt tilt steering column and frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm ‘Blinker’ tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, battery charge, and oil pressure. A refurbished analog clock is mounted in the center console, and the five-digit odometer shows just under 22k miles, approximately 7,500 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The numbers-matching 396ci V8 features a Quick Fuel 750-cfm carburetor, a four-row radiator, electronic ignition, and a dual 2.5″ exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers. Additional work performed during the seller’s ownership reportedly included replacing the following parts:

Engine block stamping number 186180 matches the last six digits of the car’s chassis number, which can be seen in the gallery.

A rebuilt Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission was installed in place of the factory automatic, and power is routed through a 4.11 Eaton Positraction rear end, which is also said to have been overhauled. The transmission tunnel was modified to accommodate the Gear Vendors overdrive unit, and additional features include a Centerforce clutch, a Hurst shifter and linkage, and a shortened driveshaft.
