This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 convertible underwent a refurbishment in 1985 that included the installation of a replacement 402ci V8 and a three-speed automatic transmission, a repaint in yellow, and the reupholstering of the interior in black. The car is equipped with a Positraction limited-slip rear differential, a power-operated black convertible soft top, Flowmaster exhaust, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, electric windshield wipers, power-assisted brakes, power steering, a front and rear coil-spring suspension, 14″ painted steel wheels with hubcaps, an AM/FM radio, and a heater. This Chevelle SS396 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and it is now offered with a Pennsylvania title.

The car left the factory finished in Artesian Turquoise and it was refinished in yellow during the aforementioned refurbishment. The 14″ painted steel wheels wear hubcaps and are mounted with 225/75 Mastercraft tires. The car is equipped with power steering as well as a front and rear coil-spring suspension, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.

The cabin was refurbished in 1985 and is trimmed in black vinyl. Interior appointments include front and rear benches, a column shifter, manual-crank windows, a heater, an AM/FM radio, and a lighted glove box.

The tilting two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by combination gauges for fuel level, battery status, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. A tachometer is mounted to the underside of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
