This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is finished in Ermine White over a red interior and powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes Rallye wheels, power-assisted steering and brakes, an aftermarket stereo, a Holley carburetor, and a dual exhaust system. This Malibu was acquired by the seller two years ago and is now offered with a set of black California license plates and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Ermine White, and the seller notes that the hood, roof, and trunk lid were repainted under previous ownership. The paintwork and bright trim are shown up close in the gallery below, including chips and scuffs.
Steel Rallye wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings, and are mounted with Hankook tires. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and single-circuit drum brakes.
The red interior features front and rear bench seats, which are said to have been recovered in their current red vinyl. An aftermarket stereo in the glovebox is wired to 6″x9″ speakers in the rear package tray, while a stock AM radio remains in the factory location and is hooked to a dash speaker. The rear seat belts have been replaced.
The five-digit odometer shows approximately 64k miles, with total mileage unknown. The turn signal does not self-cancel when turning right, and the left vent window handle is missing its retaining pin.
The 327ci V8 features an open-element air cleaner, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. A choke mechanism is not installed. The seller has reportedly changed the oil and coolant.
An engine stamp is shown in the gallery, and the trim tag riveted to the firewall decodes as follows:
- 1965 Malibu two-door coupe
- Second week of May production date
- Fremont, California final assembly
- Red vinyl interior
- Ermine White paint
Shifting is through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Additional underbody photos can be seen in the gallery, and walk-around and driving videos are provided below.
