This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu was assembled in GM’s Oshawa, Ontario, plant as a white-over-red six-cylinder convertible with a power-operated black soft top, and it was cosmetically and mechanically refurbished under previous ownership. Work included an exterior repaint as well as the installation of a white soft top and a replacement 283ci V8. Additional equipment includes a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, a red vinyl top boot, 14″ steel wheels, power steering, a two-barrel carburetor, a dual exhaust system, MagnaFlow mufflers, and a retro-look digital stereo. This Chevelle convertible was recently acquired by the selling dealer and is now offered in Canada with Quebec registration.

Steel 14″ wheels wear bowtie-logo covers and are mounted with 205/70 Firestone FR380 narrow-whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by unassisted four-wheel drum brakes.

The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in Medium Red vinyl (789) and are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a retro-look digital stereo, a heater, lap belts, and Chevelle-branded rubber floor mats.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, a fuel gauge, and warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 17k, though total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 283ci V8 was installed under previous ownership and is equipped with a two-barrel carburetor. The selling dealer states that the fuel pump was replaced following their acquisition of the vehicle. The car’s chassis number indicates that it was originally powered by an inline-six.
