2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302
2013 FORD MUSTANG BOSS 302 BACKGROUND
Of course, Boss 302 Mustangs were kings of the Trans Am scene when they debuted inย 1969ย andย 1970. To revive this hallowed nameplate in modern form,ย Fordย started with a 2012 Mustang GT, dropped in a new high-revving version of its DOHC V8, a speed-speed manual, upgraded suspension and brakes, and proceeded to spank every other performance car in its price-range. For the 2013 Boss 302, Ford left the mechanicals alone and focused instead of enhancing the looks, and differentiating that look even more from the standard garden-varietyย Mustang..
THE LOOK OF THE 2013 FORD MUSTANG BOSS 302
While the guts of the car remained unchanged fromย 2012, Ford went out of its way to juice up the looks. They started with a new “hockey stick” stripe that was more faithful to the original, and like the original was reflective. New paint colors, including bright yellow and the blue pictured, were added. Sterling gray accents were used for the grille, mirrors and spoiler. Ford redesigned the entire nose of the car with a more prominent grille, splitter, hood extractors, and new HID lighting up front, and LED tail lights. The tail light panel was blacked out, the suspension lowered, and massive 19-inch alloy racing wheels revealed giant Brembo brakes. Pirelli PZero tires were installed from the factory.
