This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was originally sold by Modern Chevrolet of Lubbock, Texas and is said to have remained with the original owner before it was acquired by the seller in 2013. A subsequent rotisserie refurbishment was carried out and completed the following year by Talon’s Rod and Custom of Tuscon, Arisona, with work including a repaint and overhaul of the engine. The car is finished in Grotto Blue with a blue convertible top over a matching interior and is powered by a 327ci V8 mated to a three-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes front and rear spoilers, steel 14” wheels, air conditioning, and a push-button AM/FM radio. This Camaro convertible is now offered with original purchase documents, refurbishment photos and records, and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Grotto Blue with a blue convertible top (D4), the car was stripped, placed on a rotisserie, and repainted by Talon’s Rod and Custom of Tucson, Arizona in 2013. Exterior features include front and rear spoilers, chrome bumpers, and 327 fender badging.
Steel 14” wheels wear polished covers with Chevrolet-logo center caps and are mounted with 215/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial tires. A matching spare is found in the trunk.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench that are trimmed in blue vinyl upholstery along with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include a push-button AM/FM radio, factory air conditioning, and lap belts for all occupants.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 88k miles and is believed to have rolled over once, approximately 400 of which were added by the seller.
The 327ci V8 was overhauled by Machine Works of Tucson, Arizona in December 2013, including a polished crankshaft, valve job, and replacement of the camshaft, valves, guides, springs, bearings, oil pump, and more as shown on the invoice provided in the gallery. An oil change was performed in April 2022.
Engine stamping 434844 matches the last six digits of the VIN shown on the chassis plate. Suffix MA, to the right, is consistent with that of a 1968 Camaro equipped with a 327ci V8, a two-barrel carburetor, and a manual transmission.
