This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS is finished in Hyper Metallic Blue with white stripes over a black interior and powered by a replacement 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ rally wheels, front disc brakes, a Comp Cams camshaft, a dual exhaust system, front and rear spoilers, a Hurst T-handle shifter, and a Dual Bluetooth stereo. The car was acquired by the owner in 2011 and was subsequently refurbished with work including a repaint, hood and fender replacement, and an engine refresh. This RS is offered with a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
The car is said to have been repainted in Hyper Metallic Blue in 2017 and features white hood and decklid stripes. Details include hideaway headlamps, flared rear wheel openings, chrome bumpers and mirrors, front and rear spoilers, RS badging, reverse lamps, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that the hood and driver’s side fender were replaced during the refurbishment, and the vacuum flip-up headlamps need to be adjusted manually.
Silver-painted 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings with hubcaps and are mounted with Milestar MS 832 Sport tires up front and BFGoodrich Radial T/A white letter tires out back. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with a matching dashboard, door panels, and loop carpets protected by Heartbeat-branded floor mats. The car features a center console, 3-point safety belt for the driver, Hurst T-handle shifter, concealed Dual Bluetooth stereo, and a locking glovebox.
The black three-spoke steering wheel features an RS horn button and frames a 120-mph speedometer and fuel gauge. An AutoMeter tachometer is mounted to the steering column and oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges are mounted to the console. The five-digit odometer indicates 17k miles, approximately 8k of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 327ci V8 is said to be sourced from a 1968 Corvette and features a three-wire alternator, headers, and a reported L88-spec Competition Cams camshaft. The engine is said to have been refurbished in 2016, and an oil change was performed in preparation for sale.
