This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe was acquired by the seller in May 2021 and subsequent work included installing headers, QA1 coilovers, UMI tubular A-arms, and tubular rear control arms as well as replacing the headliner, carpet, radiator, alternator, water pump, ignition components, hoses, transmission gaskets and seals, and valve covers. This blue-over-blue example is powered by a replacement GM Performance Parts 383ci V8 mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. Equipment includes white trunk and hood stripes, tinted windows, chrome 17″ Rev wheels, power front disc brakes, an Alpine Bluetooth stereo, and JL Audio speakers and subwoofers. This Chevelle Malibu is offered with a fitted car cover and clean Nebraska title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in blue with white stripes and is said to have been repainted in the 1990s. The headliner and carpets were reportedly replaced during current ownership.

The two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring frames a horizontal sweep 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 200 of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The paint is worn on the steering wheel.

The replacement GM Performance Parts 383ci V8 is said to have been installed during previous ownership. Features include a powder-coated Chevrolet-branded air cleaner lid and valve covers along with an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, a four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, electronic ignition, MSD ignition wires, and tubular headers. The radiator, alternator, water pump, ignition components, hoses, and valve covers are said to have been replaced since 2021 and the engine was reportedly dyno-tuned.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. The transmission is said to have been re-sealed during current ownership.
