This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible is finished in red with black stripes over a red interior and powered by a 402ci V8 paired with a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear axle. The car was acquired by the seller in 2020 and subsequently refurbished with work including a repaint, body and floor panel replacement, reupholstery of the convertible top, an engine and transmission rebuild, and suspension service. Originally finished in Bowlero Red, the car was repainted in its current red during the refurbishment. The cabin features front bucket and rear bench seats trimmed in red vinyl along with a matching dash, door panels, and carpeting. Appointments include a center console, heater/defroster, lap belts, crank windows, and a retro-style Bluetooth stereo.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge, while a trio of Bosch auxiliary gauges are mounted to the underside of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 89k miles, approximately 750 of which have been added by the seller.
The replacement 402ci V8 was rebuilt with an upgraded rotating assembly using forged pistons, chromoly rings, and stainless valves and was installed during the refurbishment. Features include an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, electronic ignition, a Howard’s custom roller camshaft, lifters, and hardened pushrods, and an aluminum radiator.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear axle. The transmission is said to have been upgraded during the refurbishment.
