This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle coupe was sold new at Regina Motor Products of Regina, Saskatchewan and was reportedly stored for much of its life before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2022. The car is finished in red with a white roof over tan vinyl and powered by a numbers-matching 307ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes an AM push-button radio, power steering, chrome trim, air conditioning, power-assisted brakes, and 15″ Rally-style wheels. This Chevelle coupe is offered by the selling dealer in Florida with manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, documentation from Vintage Vehicle Services, and a clean Washington title.
The body was finished from the factory in Cranberry Red (75) and Antique White (11), and the seller notes that several panels have been repainted. Brightwork includes a chrome driver-side mirror, side moldings, bumpers, Chevelle badges, and door handles. Paint cracking is noted on the driver’s door and a blemish on the driver-side quarter panel is pointed out in the gallery.
Steel 15″ Rally-style wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings and are wrapped in F70-15 Firestone Wide Oval white-letter tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted drums at all four corners, and the car is equipped with power steering. A spare set of steel wheels and polished hubcaps is included in the sale.
The cabin features front and rear benches trimmed in Medium Tan vinyl as well as color-matching door panels and black carpeting. Amenities include faux-wood trim, a push-button AM radio, air conditioning, a power antenna, crank windows, lap belts, and bright door sill plates. Damage is present on the front bench, a close-up photo of which can be seen in the gallery.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer with an inset fuel gauge. The seller notes that the fuel level gauge and speedometer are inaccurate. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 307ci L14 V8 is fed by a two-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 130 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque.
Engine block stamping 121535014 matches the last eight digits on the chassis identification plate shown in the gallery below. The “CTK” suffix to the right indicates a 307ci L14 V8 in conjunction with a TH350 automatic transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission with a 2.73:1 rear gearing ratio. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.
