This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS coupe is finished in bronze with an ivory roof over Ivory vinyl and is powered by a replacement 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a factory AM/FM radio, an SS-style hood, RS hideaway headlights, front and rear spoilers, and 14″ Rally wheels. The seller acquired the car in 2000, and subsequent service reportedly consisted of installing the replacement engine, a Hurst shifter, front and rear spoilers, and a 3.73 rear differential. This Camaro is now offered with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The car was reportedly refinished in Corvette Bronze under previous ownership and features black striping and an Ivory vinyl top. Equipment includes an SS-style hood, RS hideaway headlights, front and rear spoilers, chrome bumpers, and SS and 350 badging. The seller notes that the driver-side of the vehicle was damaged and repaired under previous ownership. Photos of rust under the vinyl top and on the rocker panels are included in the gallery.
Silver-finished 14″ Rally wheels wear polished trim rings and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Factory equipment includes power front disc brakes and power steering. The seller states that the steering box was disassembled, cleaned, and greased in 2021.
The bucket seats are upholstered in Ivory vinyl and are accompanied by matching door panels, and a black dashboard and center console with faux wood trim. Interior features include a Hurst shifter, a lockable glovebox, a factory AM/FM radio, and manual crank windows. Cracks are visible in the driver-side door panel. The removed factory shifter is included in the sale.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column and frames a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary gauges are housed below the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci V8 was reportedly installed during current ownership and is fitted with a chrome air cleaner and valve covers.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a rear differential with 3.73:1 gears. The removed 3.23 differential will accompany the car.
