1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu

This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu began life as a V8-powered hardtop sport coupe that was produced at GM’s Fremont, California facility, and it was acquired by the seller’s brother in April 2016. The car was refurbished and modified by its previous owner, with work said to have included a color change and replacement of the powertrain. Its 350ci V8 is paired with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, and additional modifications include tubular headers, an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, a B&M shifter, front disc brakes, 15″ Center Line wheels, and an aftermarket stereo. This modified Chevrolet is offered on behalf of his brother with a clean California title.

This example was ordered in Butternut Yellow (Y), and the body was repainted in its current shade of red during prior ownership. The seller notes wear and dings on portions of the body, and close-up photos of the paintwork, badging, taillights, glass, and other trim are included in the gallery below.

Center Line 15″ wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich white-letter tires. Disc brakes are fitted up front, and the front end features replacement suspension components according to the seller.

The black interior features front bucket seats accented with cloth inserts and bowtie-logo stitching. Additional modifications include a B&M shifter, an aftermarket steering wheel, a chrome bowtie-shaped mirror, toggle switches, and a Sony stereo linked with Polk Audio speakers.

Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, an Equus tachometer, and supplementary gauges mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 5k of which were added by the seller. Actual mileage is unknown.

The replacement 350ci V8 has been rebuilt according to the seller and is modified with an Edlebrock carburetor and intake manifold, finned Holley “M/T” valve covers, tubular headers, and an aluminum radiator paired with dual fans. The ignition coil and starter were recently replaced according to the seller.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a ten-bolt rear end. Additional photos are presented in the gallery below showing the suspension, chassis, and driveline, as well as corrosion on portions of the mechanical components.
