This 1957 Chevrolet 150 was purchased by the seller’s late father in 2001 and was subsequently refurbished and modified in 2015 with work including installing a custom chassis with a C5 Corvette front suspension and C4 Corvette independent rear suspension, upgrading the braking and steering systems, and fitting an LSA-supercharged 5.7-liter LS6 V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Features include a Dana 44HD differential with a 3.73:1 axle ratio, an RPS billet carbon hydraulic clutch, C5 Corvette wheels, C4 Corvette power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, power steering, a custom exhaust system, and chrome exterior trim. This Chevy 210 is offered with build records and a clean California title.
The car is finished in black and features chrome side trim, front and rear bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes the tail lamp lenses have been replaced. Scratches and other paint imperfections are shown up close in the gallery and rust is noted on the rocker panels.
Black-finished wheels measure 17″ up front and 18″ out back and are wrapped with Sumitomo HTR Z II tires measuring 245/45 and 275/40, respectively. The car features a custom chassis with a front suspension that has reportedly been modified with components sourced from a C5 Corvette and a power rack and pinion steering system along with a C4 Corvette independent rear suspension with coilovers. Stopping power is provided by a CPP master cylinder and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors from a C5 Corvette.
The cabin features a front bench seat with black vinyl upholstery along with a matching dash, carpets, door panels, and rear seats. Interior equipment includes chrome and machined components as well as Vintage Air air conditioning, a floor-mounted shifter, an analog clock, and a fire extinguisher mounted to the floor. Corrosion is present in both front footwells and the floor of the trunk.
The black two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 4k miles, 1k have of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The LSA-supercharged 5.7-liter LS6 V8 was installed during the refurbishment. The vehicle features custom headers, a replacement fuel tank and fuel pump, a custom air intake, a Moroso catch can, an integrated air to water intercooler in the supercharger lid, a dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers, and an aftermarket radiator with electric fans.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission, Driveshaft Shop driveshaft, and independent rear suspension with a Dana 44HD differential with a 3.73:1 axle ratio.
