This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe is powered by a replacement 454ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in blue with a white nose stripe over parchment vinyl upholstery. Features include a cowl hood, front and rear spoilers, an SS grille and badging, a 12-bolt rear axle, power-assisted steering, power front disc brakes, 15″ Rally wheels, BFGoodrich Silvertown redline tires as well as an aluminum radiator, long-tube headers, and a custom stainless steel dual exhaust with Pypes mufflers. This Camaro coupe was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and is now offered with a clean New Jersey title.
The body left the factory finished in LeMans Blue (UU) and is said to have been refinished under previous ownership. Features include a white nose stripe, a cowl hood, front and rear spoilers, an SS grille, 396 badging, LED headlamps, chrome trim, bumpers, and mirrors, and a dual outlet exhaust that exits behind the rear wheels.
Silver-finished 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial redline tires. The car is fitted with power-assisted steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Recent service is said to have consisted of installing replacement front springs, shock absorbers, front disc brakes, and rear brake shoes.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in parchment vinyl. Equipment includes a center console, a horseshoe-style shifter, woodgrain trim accents, retractable lap belts, polished door sills, and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilt-column and frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. Two auxiliary gauges are mounted below the center stack. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 57k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 454ci V8 features an aluminum radiator, long-tube headers, and a chrome air cleaner assembly and valve covers.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle, which is reportedly equipped with a Positraction differential and 3.73:1 gears. A stainless steel dual exhaust system with Pypes Violator mufflers has been installed.
