This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle sport coupe was refurbished after the seller’s 2022 acquisition, which included fitting a cowl induction hood and replacement fenders before repainting the car in black with white stripes. Power is provided by a 500ci V8 equipped with a forged rotating assembly, a Holley carburetor, Brodix cylinder heads, MSD ignition, and a hydraulic roller camshaft, and it is linked with a modified three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car rides on a modified suspension with front coilovers and sway bars as well as 20″ Ridler wheels mounted over Wilwood disc brakes. The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl and features a center console, air conditioning, and a Pioneer Bluetooth head unit linked with aftermarket speakers. This modified Chevelle sport coupe is now offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
A replacement hood and fenders were installed before the car was repainted in black with white stripes under prior ownership. The bumpers, trim, lighting, and weatherstripping are said to have been replaced at the time, and additional details include a cowl induction hood, a front air dam, SS badging, quad headlights, and a black taillight panel.
Chrome 20″ Ridler wheels are mounted with Nitto NT555 G2 tires up front and Mickey Thompson ET Street rubber out back. The car rides on a modified suspension with front coilovers, heavy-duty sway bars, and polyurethane bushings, and it is equipped with power steering. Braking is handled by Wilwood four-wheel discs with slotted and drilled rotors.
Refurbishment work in the cabin reportedly included replacing the black vinyl seat covers, dash pad, weather seals, and headliner as well as applying sound-deadening material beneath the replacement carpets. Interior appointments include a full-length center console, a horseshoe-style shifter, aftermarket door locks, a Pioneer Bluetooth stereo, aftermarket speakers, and Vintage Air air conditioning.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge, while auxiliary readouts for coolant temperature and oil pressure are mounted to the A-pillar. The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 500ci V8 was reportedly installed in 2020, and it breathes through a Holley 1,050-cfm Dominator carburetor atop an Edelbrock Victor aluminum intake manifold. The engine is said to have been assembled with a forged rotating assembly and ARP fasteners, and additional modifications include ported Brodix cylinder heads, a hydraulic roller camshaft, 1.7-ratio roller rockers, MSD ignition components, and a Fluidampr harmonic balancer.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a TCI TH400 three-speed automatic transmission that is equipped with a 3,000-rpm stall-speed torque converter and a reverse valve body, according to the seller. The 12-bolt rear end is fitted with a limited-slip differential and 3.31:1 gears. Exhaust gases flow through long-tube headers to a 3″ dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
