This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible is powered by a 350ci V8 equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold, 750-cfm carburetor, and valve covers and mated to a four-speed manual transmission. It is finished in red over red vinyl and also has a white convertible top, concealed headlights, RS badges, an SS-style hood with raised simulated air intakes, front and rear spoilers, power-assisted front disc brakes, 14″ Rally wheels, and a heater. The seller purchased the car in 2021 and it is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Originally Granada Gold, the car has been repainted in red with a white soft top and features a nose stripe, concealed headlights, RS badges, an SS-style hood with raised simulated air intakes, and front and rear spoilers. The headlight doors do not work and the top binds when folding open or closing. Close-up photos of the paintwork and badges can be found in the gallery.
This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in June of 2024 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle.
The 14″ Rally wheels are mounted with 225/70 BFGoodrich tires. Wilwood front disc brakes and V8 front coil springs were installed in November 2021, and the brake hoses, brake booster, control links, upper and lower A-arms, bushings, and shocks were also replaced. The seller notes that the car has been driven approximately 40 miles since then. The leaf spring rubber and front tires were replaced in 2023. The parking brake pedal assembly needs to be replaced, and a replacement is included in the sale.
Originally trimmed in gold vinyl, the interior was reupholstered in Deluxe-style red vinyl in the early 2000s. The Hurst shifter is fitted with a cue-ball knob. The seller notes that the light switch needs to be replaced, the radio does not work, the trim on the driver’s door panel is loose, and two of the windows need to be adjusted but all six of the windows open and close. The passenger inside door handle needs to be reattached.
Factory instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. A Bosch tachometer and auxiliary gauges have been installed. The speedometer does not work and the mileage is unknown. A used replacement gauge cluster and trim are included in the sale.
A 350ci V8 was installed in place of the factory inline-six at some point. It is equipped with a “camel-hump” heads, 327-branded air cleaner, an HEI distributor, and an Edelbrock 750-cfm carburetor, intake manifold, and valve covers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Service in 2022 included replacing the clutch assembly and resurfacing the flywheel. The seller estimates the car has been driven 40 miles since then.
