This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is powered by a 396ci V8 that has been fitted with an Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley carburetor, and the rear wheels are driven through a four-speed manual transmission. It wears a repaint in dark blue over black vinyl, and equipment includes a custom-fabricated exhaust system, chrome-finished wheels, a lowered suspension, a black convertible soft top, quad LED headlights, power-assisted front disc brakes, a Hurst shifter, a pushbutton radio, and aftermarket auxiliary gauges. The seller purchased the car in December 2019 after it was offered on BaT in July of that year, and subsequent work has included replacing the windshield, soft top, battery, spark plugs, ignition wires, and tires. This Chevelle Malibu is now offered with literature and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted in dark blue approximately five years ago, and it features a manually-operated black convertible soft top that was installed under current ownership. Additional details include quad LED headlights, front and rear chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, electric windshield wipers, quarter vent windows, and bright trim. SuperSport badging has been added. The windshield was replaced recently.
Chromed multi-spoke wheels which measure 18″ in front and 20″ out back are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes. The suspension has been fitted with lowering springs up front and heated stock springs out back. The car is equipped with power steering.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in black vinyl. Interior appointments include bench seating, manual-crank windows, a heater, an AM/FM radio, and a lighted glove box. SS-branded door cards have been added, and the shifter lever is topped with a Hurst T-handle grip.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and a fuel level gauge. Aftermarket auxiliary instrumentation includes a column-mounted tachometer and iEquus gauges beneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 396ci V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and a Holley carburetor as well as a custom-fabricated exhaust system. Photographs of engine-number stampings are shown in the gallery below. Work under current ownership has included replacing the battery, battery cables, spark plugs, and ignition wires.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
