This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu was purchased by the seller in 2002 and has since undergone a custom build that is said to have included refinishing the exterior in blue, fitting a roll cage and replacement seats, and installing of a supercharged 502ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional modifications include Weld Racing wheels, cross-drilled front brake rotors, a programmable trans-brake and throttle stop, a 20-gallon fuel cell, dual Holley carburetors, and an MSD ignition controller. This modified Chevelle is offered with a Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The body was refinished in its current blue under current ownership, and features include an SS grille and emblems, side mirrors, and rear mud flaps. The car does not have a hood, and dings and chips on the right-front fender are depicted further in the gallery below along with other noted blemishes.
Staggered-width 15″ Weld Racing wheels feature a polished finish and are fitted with Classic tires measuring 165/80 in the front and GT Radial tires measuring 275/60 at the rear. Disc brakes and cross-drilled rotors are fitted up front, and the vehicle is also equipped with power-assisted steering.
The black interior features fixed-back bucket seats with harness pass-throughs and RCI harnesses. The rear seats have been removed, and additional features include a Turbo Action Cheetah SCS shifter, an aftermarket switch console, a Pioneer CD stereo, and a roll cage. The seller notes the factory air conditioning components have been removed.
Stock instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and indicator lights, and are joined by an AutoMeter tachometer and supplemental gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 26k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
A 502ci V8 was installed by the seller in 2002, and it is fitted with a roller camshaft and aluminum cylinder heads as well as a polished Weiand 6-71 supercharger topped with a pair of Holley four-barrel carburetors. Cooling is from an aftermarket radiator with dual electric fans, and other additions include an MSD ignition controller, an electric fuel pump, a trunk-mounted 20-gallon fuel cell, and headers linked to a dual exhaust system. A general inspection was completed in March 2022.
Power is routed to a 12-bolt rear end via a three-speed automatic transmission fitted with a reverse valve body and a high-stall torque converter and equipped with a programmable trans-brake and throttle stop.
