This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe is powered by a retrofitted 305ci V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in silver over black vinyl upholstery. Features include front and rear spoilers, chrome bumpers and trim, 14″ Rally-style wheels, and a Holley carburetor, air cleaner assembly, and valve covers as well as a dual exhaust system and a Delco AM radio. The car was acquired by the seller in 2018, and subsequent service reportedly consisted of a repaint along with the installation of an HEI distributor and replacement of the tires, headliner, starter, and battery. This Camaro coupe is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a car cover, spare parts, magazines, receipts, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body left the factory finished in Grotto Blue and is said to have been refinished in green under previous ownership before being painted its current shade of silver in 2021 following rust repairs to the rocker panels, the right fender ahead of and behind the wheel, and the right side of the rear window. Features include retrofitted front and rear spoilers along with chrome bumpers and trim, a driver-side mirror, and a dual exhaust that exits behind the rear wheels. The seller notes the passenger door was replaced under previous ownership and is misaligned.
Silver-finished 14″ Rally-style wheels wear bright trim rings and center caps and are mounted with 245/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires said to have been installed in 2019. Braking is handled by power-assisted drums at all four corners.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl which extends to the door panels and dashboard. Equipment includes a retrofitted center console with a horseshoe-style shifter and woodgrain trim along with lap belts, polished door sills, a heater, and a push-button Delco AM radio. The headliner is said to have been replaced in 2019.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership. The seller notes the odometer has rolled over and the speedometer shows slower than the actual speed. True mileage is unknown.
A 305ci V8 and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission were reportedly installed in 1987, replacing the factory inline-six and three-speed automatic. The engine is equipped with a Holley carburetor, and service under current ownership is said to have included installing an HEI distributor and replacing the spark plugs, ignition wires, valve covers, air cleaner, starter, and battery. The seller notes fluid drips from the engine and transmission.
