This 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova sport coupe was purchased by the seller in 2016 and subsequently underwent mechanical and cosmetic modifications which included installing a rebuilt engine and transmission from a fourth-generation Camaro Z28, Speedway Motors front and rear suspension kits, Wilwood brakes, and a custom eight-point roll cage as well as refinishing the exterior in silver, red, and purple. Additional features include 17″ REV wheels, LED lighting, a decklid spoiler, FAST engine management, an Accusump oiling system, custom exhaust, power steering, a Ford 9″ rear end, a 20-gallon fuel cell, bucket seats with six-point harnesses, a Coolshirt system, and Intellitronix digital gauges. Following its completion in 2019, the car has reportedly competed in multiple autocross, time trial, and road race events. This modified Chevy II Nova is now offered with manuals, invoices, a window net, spare parts, and a clean New Mexico title in the seller’s name.
During the refurbishment completed by Sick and Twisted Fabrication of Farmington, New Mexico, the body reportedly underwent media blasting, rust repair, and the installation of a custom transmission tunnel before being refinished in two-stage silver, red, and purple. Exterior features include a cowl-induction hood, LED lighting, front and rear tow straps, LS1 badges, side-exiting exhaust outlets, a decklid spoiler, and a quarter-panel-mounted emergency cut-off switch. The seller notes that the left-rear quarter panel was repaired and repainted following damage sustained from an on-track incident, and pitting in the window trim is also noted.
Gray-finished 17″ five-spoke REV wheels are mounted with 275/40 Falken Azenis RT660 tires. Speedway Motors G-Comp Unser Edition front and rear suspension kits have been installed which include rack-and-pinion power steering, Afco adjustable coilovers, front and rear sway bars, and an adjustable rear Watts-link. Braking is handled by a Wilwood master cylinder and bias adjuster actuating four-piston calipers over 12″ rotors at all four corners.
An interior refresh included stripping the interior and installing an eight-point roll cage with removable upper door bars as well as bucket seats, six-point racing harnesses, a Coolshirt system, a Longacre switch panel, purple floor covering, diamond-plate floor pans, and a red-upholstered headliner. The seat belts were replaced and an LED dome light was installed in preparation for the sale.
An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel features a centering stripe and frames an Intellitronix digital gauge panel. The digital odometer shows 3k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 is said to have been sourced from a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and rebuilt in 2018 using forged pistons, Eagle connecting rods, a Lunati camshaft, and ARP bolts. Engine management is provided by a FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 self-tuning engine control system. A three-core aluminum radiator has been installed along with a trunk-mounted three-quart Accusump oiling system and an Optima battery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a T-56 six-speed manual transmission that was reportedly rebuilt by Tick Performance and a 9″ Ford Grand National rear end with a 4.11:1 gear ratio. A custom exhaust system that exits ahead of the rear tires as well as a 20-gallon fuel cell have been installed. A 3.50:1 rear gearset and removable fuel cell guard and is included in the sale.
