This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was acquired by its previous owner in 2005 as an incomplete Pro Street drag racing project, and was subsequently modified for street use over the next 10 years. The work included a repaint in metallic blue and refreshment of the suspension and braking systems as well as interior customization with tan leather sport seats, air conditioning, and an aftermarket stereo. A 350ci ZZ4 V8 with a forged crankshaft, aluminum cylinder heads, and a hydraulic roller camshaft routes power through a Tremec five-speed manual gearbox. Additional modifications include a Holley 770-cfm carburetor, staggered polished aluminum wheels, and more. This Camaro is offered by the seller on behalf of a non-profit yoga center to whom it was donated, and comes with records from 2005 forward as well as a clean North Carolina title in the organization’s name.
A repaint in metallic blue using BASF Diamond coating was carried out during the refurbishment, reportedly following rust repairs made to the floors. An SS-style hood with faux vents was also fitted, and the car features a rear spoiler. The seller notes a paint chip underneath the fuel filler.
Polished aluminum American Legend Streeter wheels measure 17″ up front and 18″ out back, and are mounted with Kumho Ecsta 4X all-season tires all around. The car is equipped with power-assisted front disc brakes along with replacement suspension bushings and re-arched leaf springs.
The interior features leather front sport seats with matching custom door panels as well as darker carpets and a replacement headliner. A customized full-length center console, door handles, and window cranks were fitted as well as a Keisler billet aluminum shifter, an aftermarket air conditioning system and dome light, and a retro-style MP3 stereo.
A Nickels Performance steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column, and the dashboard houses Dakota VHX gauges. Approximately 600 miles are shown on the digital odometer, which represents the total since completion of the refurbishment according to the seller. The 12-volt lighter socket is said to repeatedly blow fuses.
The 350ci ZZ4 V8 crate engine reportedly features a 10.0:1 compression ratio and features a forged 4340 steel crankshaft, hypereutectic aluminum pistons, and aluminum cylinder heads as well as a hydraulic roller camshaft and lifters. Induction is from a 770-cfm Holley Street Avenger carburetor, and aftermarket headers feed a dual exhaust system.
A Tremec five-speed manual transmission was installed by Silver Sport Transmissions in Rockford, Tennessee, reportedly using a CAD-designed lightweight crossmember. A replacement fuel tank was also fitted during the refurbishment, while the seller notes that a stock rear end remains in place.
