This 1962 Chevrolet Impala Convertible is said to have undergone a refurbishment during prior ownership in the early 2000s that included a repaint, a reupholstered interior, and installation of a replacement engine. The car is finished in white over red vinyl and powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a red soft top, an AM/FM cassette stereo, a dual exhaust system, chrome bumpers, fender skirts, and 14” Cragar wheels. This Impala convertible is now offered by the selling dealer with manufacturer’s literature, refurbishment photos, and a Pennsylvania title.
The body was finished in Ermine White from the factory and is said to have been repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior features include a red soft top, chrome bumpers, fender skirts, and dual radio antennas.
Polished 14” Cragar wheels are mounted with 215/70 Cooper Lifeliner Classic II tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that are said to have been reupholstered in red vinyl with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Additional appointments include bright metal trim, a lockable center console, and a Chevrolet-branded AM/FM cassette stereo.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph horizontal-sweep speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 25k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The replacement 327ci V8 features a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, and the car is equipped with a dual exhaust system. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with synchromesh. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
