This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door sedan is powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a Turboglide automatic transmission and is finished in black over silver and black upholstery. Equipment includes 14″ wheels, hubcaps, whitewall tires, chrome bumpers, a dash-mounted clock, and a push-button AM radio. The selling dealer acquired the car in June 2022. This Bel Air is now offered in Michigan with a set of removed tires and a duplicate Florida title.
The car was finished in monotone Onyx Black (793A) from the factory and features gold emblems, chrome “hood rockets,” one-piece chrome bumpers, and a single exhaust outlet with a polished finisher. Silver-painted 14″ steel wheels wear chrome covers and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. Braking is handled by drums at all four corners.
The cabin features bench seating trimmed in silver vinyl and black patterned inserts complemented by color-coordinated door panels and black carpeting. Additional appointments include a heater, a dash-mounted clock, and a push-button AM radio.
The gray two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The gear indicator includes the standard P, R, N, and D as well as GR for grade retarder, to employ engine braking while coasting downhill. The five-digit odometer shows 4,800 miles, approximately 20 of which have been added by the selling dealer; true mileage is unknown.
The 283ci V8 was factory rated at 185 horsepower and features an orange block, intake manifold, and valve covers as well as a Rochester 2-barrel carburetor and a black air-cleaner cover. The coolant was flushed and the oil was changed in autumn 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turboglide automatic transmission. The fuel tank was reportedly replaced in late 2022. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery.
