This 1975 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu station wagon was initially purchased by The Reeves Banking and Trust Co. from Ferris Chevrolet in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and acquired by the father of an employee in 1977 before it was gifted to said employee in 1987, with whom it remained until the seller’s 2022 acquisition. Work under current ownership is said to have involved overhauling the brakes, rebuilding the carburetor, replacing the valve cover gaskets, and performing fluid services. Powered by a 350ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission, the wagon is finished in Antique White over black and knit vinyl and features 15″ Rally wheels, power steering, and power-assisted front disc brakes. This Malibu wagon is offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records dating back to 1984, full wheel covers, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Antique White (11) and features black front pinstriping, chrome bumpers, and mud flaps. The seller notes that the roof was repainted following transit to the initial selling dealer. Areas of touch-up paint, corrosion, and cracked and peeling paint are pictured up close in the gallery below.
Silver 15″ Rally wheels wear polished hubcaps and trim rings and are mounted with 225/75 Ironman RB-12 NWS whitewall tires. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, and the seller reports that the front discs and rear drums were turned and that the pads, shoes, and wheel cylinders were replaced along with the master cylinder and wheel bearings under current ownership. The parking brake cable is broken.
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl with knit vinyl inserts. The seller notes that the blower motor was recently replaced. The radio does not work and there are two punctures in the back of the front seat.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal-sweep 100-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 350ci V8 was factory rated at 145 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that work under current ownership consisted of a tune-up, rebuilding the two-barrel carburetor, replacing the valve cover gaskets, drive belts, and coolant hoses, flushing the coolant, and changing the oil. Corrosion is noted on the underside of the hood.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a differential with 3.08:1 gearing. A Thrush muffler was installed and the fluids for the transmission and differential were changed under current ownership. The seller notes that Cosmoline and Tuff-Kote Dinol coatings have been applied to the underside.
