This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was refurbished and modified under previous ownership and was reportedly acquired by the current owner in 2014. The car is finished in red with black stripes over black upholstery and is powered by a replacement 454ci V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with a limited-slip differential. Additional modifications include Budnik 18″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes with Baer front calipers, upgraded suspension components, a Detroit Speed Engineering mini-tub kit, tubular headers, an MSD distributor, Vintage Air HVAC, aftermarket seats, electric windows, AutoMeter instrumentation, a Pioneer head unit, and JL subwoofers. Work performed since 2021 included resealing the valve covers and intake manifold as well as replacement of the distributor, rear dampers, and leaf springs. This modified Camaro is offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the current owner with partial service records and Rhode Island registration in the current owner’s name.
The car is said to have been refinished in red with black stripes under previous ownership. Features include front and rear spoilers, RS-style concealed headlights, “Z/28” badging, and body-colored bumpers and side mirrors. The finish and trim are pictured up close in the gallery below.
Polished 18″ Budnik alloy wheels are mounted with 245/40 front and 335/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted slotted and cross-drilled discs at all four corners with Bear calipers up front. The suspension has been modified and features a Detroit Speed Engineering rear mini-tub kit. Work in July 2021 included replacing the rear dampers and leaf springs.
The interior features aftermarket bolstered seating trimmed in black upholstery with a matching dash pad and an aftermarket center console and door panels. Amenities include Vintage Air HVAC, power steering, electric windows, a black suede-style headliner, a Pioneer head unit, and trunk-mounted JL subwoofers.
A three-spoke Grant steering wheel frames white-dialed AutoMeter instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 49k miles, less than 500 of which have been added by the current owner. True mileage is unknown.
The carbureted 454ci V8 was installed during previous ownership and features an Edelbrock intake manifold, valve covers, and air cleaner. Additional equipment includes tubular headers, a dual exhaust system, an MSD distributor, an aluminum radiator, and a Detroit Speed Engineering/Vintage Air Front Runner engine accessory kit. A May 2021 service by High Tech Fabrication of Middletown, Rhode Island, included replacing the distributor and resealing the valve covers and intake manifold.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with a 3.73:1 gear set and a limited-slip differential. Additional underside images are included in the gallery below.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
