This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is powered by a 355ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission and was refurbished under prior ownership with work including repainting the body and modifying the rear suspension. The car is finished in black and silver with a black vinyl roof cover, and additional equipment includes 15″ American Racing wheels, four-into-one headers, an MSD ignition system, a cowl-induction hood, a roll bar, and Cipher bucket seats with five-point harnesses. This modified Chevelle Malibu was acquired by the selling dealer in 2019 and is now offered with a clean Pennsylvania title.
The body was reportedly repainted in its current shade of black with silver rocker panels and red striping as part of a refurbishment completed under previous ownership in the 1990s. Equipment includes a black vinyl roof cover, a cowl-induction hood, a driver-side mirror, quad headlights, Chevelle and Malibu badging, and chrome trim on the bumpers, grille, window surrounds. There is a rip in the vinyl top, and the seller notes evidence of corrosion on the left quarter panel below the bumper.
Five-spoke 15″ American Racing wheels wear Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T tires measuring 235/50 up front and 275/60 out back. The rear axle is mounted using multi-link ladder-bar components as well as coilover shocks with helper springs. Braking is handled by unassisted four-wheel drums.
The cabin features Cipher bucket seats upholstered in red cloth accompanied by a black roll bar and five-point racing harnesses. The black dashboard and door panels wear Malibu badging, and additional features include a floor-mounted aftermarket shifter and an MSD ignition control box fitted within the passenger footwell. Carpets are not installed, and the battery is mounted in the trunk along with a plastic fuel cell.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a column-mounted Sport-Comp tachometer as well as a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. Additional SunPro auxiliary gauges mounted in the center stack display battery status, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer indicates 98k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 355ci V8 is equipped with aluminum heads and was reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership in 2019. The air filter was replaced and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. The exhaust system consists of open four-into-one headers. Additional underside images are provided in the gallery.
