This 1956 Chevrolet 210 station wagon reportedly spent 35 years in storage before it was acquired by the seller in the 2000s. Refurbishment and modifications by D&P Classic Chevy of Westminster, California included a repaint in red and white over a custom tan interior as well as installation of a 350ci Edelbrock V8 crate engine, a five-speed manual transmission, and a 10-bolt Positraction rear end. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, Heidts control arms, power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, American Racing Torq-Thrust wheels, a modern stereo, a Classic Instruments gauge cluster, and more. This two-door wagon is offered with refurbishment records from 2003 to present, a 2007 appraisal, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car was media-blasted and repainted in multi-stage red and white with gold pinstriping on the sides, hood, and tailgate by D&P Classic Chevy. Stainless steel brightwork was polished and new windows, glass, and felts were installed in 2007.
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with 15″ Mastercraft white-letter tires. New shocks, springs, bushings, and Heidts tubular control arms were installed during the refurbishment. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by a power-assisted dual-circuit master cylinder actuating discs up front and drums out back.
The interior was reupholstered in tan with matching carpets and door panels. Features include a front bench seat with a split backrest and fold-down armrests as well as lap belts, an Ididit tilt steering column, a Vintage Air HVAC system, a glovebox-mounted stereo, aluminum clutch and brake pedal covers, and more.
An aftermarket leather-wrapped banjo steering wheel frames a Classic Instruments panel that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. Just over 4,300 miles are shown on the six-digit odometer, 3k of which have been added under the seller’s ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci Edelbrock V8 crate engine was installed by D&P Classic Chevy and features a March serpentine pulley system, a chrome-plated alternator, polished and finned valve covers, a Holley 750-cfm carburetor, ceramic-coated exhaust headers, an MSD ignition system, an aluminum radiator, and more listed on documentation in the gallery below. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt 3.73:1 rear end with Positraction. An oil change is said to have been performed approximately 300 miles ago.
