This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was delivered new to Pierson Chevrolet in Gadsen, Alabama and was acquired by the seller in 2019. The car is finished in black over a tan interior and powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited slip differential, air conditioning, cruise control, power steering, a dual exhaust system, power windows, front disc brakes, and 15″ body-color wheels. Service in April 2021 included an air conditioning recharge, tune-up, fluid changes, and replacement heater core. This Z28 is now being offered with manufacturer’s literature, a copy of the build sheet, window sticker, recent service record, and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Black (19L) with two-tone tan and brown Z28 stripes. Equipment includes body-color bumpers, a NACA-style hood scoop, fender vents, sport mirrors, twin exhaust tips, and a decklid spoiler.
Body-color 15″ sport wheels wear white letter Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires showing 2019 date codes. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the fluid was changed in April 2021. The car is equipped with a sport suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars.
The cabin features seats upholstered in Camel vinyl (63R) with a matching dash, door panels, carpets, and rubber floor mats. Equipment includes power steering, cruise control, air conditioning, a center console, power windows, a Comfortilt steering wheel, and an AM/FM push-button radio. The rear defroster switch is nonfunctional.
Instrumentation includes a 130-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 3,700 miles, approximately 80 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The tachometer was was rebuilt in 2021.
The 350ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and produced 175 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque when new. Work completed in April 2021 by Maritime Chevrolet of Fairfield, Connecticut included an air conditioning recharge, a coolant flush, an oil change, and replacement of the heater core, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, and ignition wires.
