This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was produced at GM’s Norwood, Ohio, facility and underwent a custom refurbishment during prior ownership that included exterior and interior color changes and replacement of the powertrain as well as updates to the brakes and suspension components. The car is finished in metallic red, and power is provided by a GM Performance 502ci V8 crate engine mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Additional modifications and equipment include a 12-bolt rear end, a Holley electronic fuel-injection system, exhaust headers, SS badges, Hotchkiss front springs, four-wheel disc brakes, and 16″ American Racing wheels as well as houndstooth-accented seats and a custom stereo system. The car was acquired by the seller on BaT in November 2021, and subsequent work is said to have included installation of the fuel injection unit, brake system service, and replacement of the carpets. This Camaro is now offered in Florida with service records and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
This car was originally finished in Rallye Green (79) according to the trim tag, and it was repainted in metallic red during the refurbishment. Features include a white convertible top, a cowl-induction hood, a rear spoiler, white stripes, and “502” badging on the fenders. A matching boot cover is included in the sale.
Staggered-width 16″ American Racing wheels feature a polished finish and are fitted with Dunlop front and BFGoodrich rear tires. Disc brakes are fitted at all four corners, and additional updates include Hotchkiss front springs and custom-fabricated rear axle perches. The brake booster was replaced in preparation for the sale according to the seller.
Replacement white upholstery with houndstooth cloth inserts covers the front buckets and the rear bench. Interior modifications include an air-conditioning system from Vintage Air, replacement carpeting, and an Alpine head unit linked to Rockford Fosgate subwoofers and amplifiers fitted in the trunk.
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges mounted in the center console. The five-digit odometer indicates approximately 3,700 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
A GM Performance 502ci V8 crate engine was installed under prior ownership and has been fitted with a Holley Sniper fuel injection system under current ownership. Cooling is from an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and other additions include an MSD 6A controller, a Holley HyperSpark distributor, and headers connected to a dual exhaust equipped with Flowmaster mufflers.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear axle.
