This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu four-door wagon is powered by a modified 350ci V8 with upgraded valves, a Thumpr cam, Quick Fuel 600-cfm carburetor, exhaust headers, and dual exhaust. It is backed by a TH350 transmission with a shift kit and 2,500-rpm stall converter and is finished in blue over black vinyl. Features include a driver-side mirror, electric windshield wipers, a power-operated tailgate window, power-assisted brakes, power steering, an aluminum radiator, reproduction 15″ Rally wheels, bench seating, power windows, and a retro-style stereo. The seller purchased the car on BaT in October 2016 and has since added approximately 1,100 miles. This Malibu wagon is now offered in with manufacturer’s literature, service records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Marina Blue and was repainted under prior ownership. Equipment includes quad headlights, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, tinted glass, electric windshield wipers, quarter vent windows, a power-operated tailgate window, and bright trim. A scratch and damage to the pinstripe is noted on the right quarter panel. The door handles, window felts and weatherstripping, quarter glass seals, and windshield wiper hardware and pump were replaced under current ownership.
Reproduction 15×7″ Rally wheels wear trim rings and 215/65 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering as well as a front and rear coil-spring suspension, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front and rear drums that were replaced under current ownership along with the idler arm and bushings, sway bar links, and shocks.
Replacement black vinyl was installed over two rows of bench seating under current ownership, and the headliner and carpets were replaced in 2018. Other items installed since 2016 include the cargo-area panel vinyl, front three-point seatbelts, rear lap belts, cargo-area speakers, and door handles. Interior appointments include power windows, a heater, a retro-style stereo, and a lighted glove box. The interior window trim is missing from the right-rear cargo-area window. The turn signal switch, under-dash rear window switch, and driver’s door panel switch were replaced under current ownership when the car was rewired.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts replacement gauges, including a tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 1,100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 350ci V8 has been modified with 1.94″ valves, a Thumpr camshaft, a Quick Fuel 600-cfm carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an aluminum radiator, and a dual exhaust system with headers. Rust is present under the battery tray. The water pump and belts were replaced since the seller’s purchase.
The TH350 transmission has been rebuilt and is fitted with a shift kit and a 2,500-rpm stall converter. A transmission pan leak was addressed since the prior BaT auction.
