This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is a 4-door sedan that is said to have been ordered new by a body shop technician at Dietrich Chevrolet in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. The first owner’s grandson reportedly sold the car in 2012 to a collector, from whom it was acquired by the seller in 2019. Powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a 2-speed automatic transmission, it is finished in Mountain Green over a gold interior featuring a factory radio. An oil change was performed and the carburetor was rebuilt in 2018. This Malibu is offered with recent service records and transferable New York registration.
The body is finished in Mountain Green and the seller states that it was repainted in the 1980s, with subsequent repairs to the left quarter panel. The paint and trim are shown up close in the gallery below.
Body-matched steel wheels are fitted with dog-dish hubcaps and radial tires. The seller states that the previous owner replaced the brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, hoses, shoes, and drums.
The gold interior features vinyl bench seats with cloth inserts, a column shifter, a factory AM radio, and woodgrain paneling under the padded dash top. The headliner is torn above the driver’s seat. The 5-digit odometer shows approximately 99k miles.
The 283ci small-block V8 is mated to a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The seller states that the stock 2-barrel Rochester carburetor was rebuilt in summer 2018. Additional work completed under previous ownership reportedly included replacement of the fuel pump, radiator, wiper motor, washer pump, and hoses. An engine start-up video can be seen here.
The seller states that the exhaust system leaks and that corrosion is present at the trunk frame mounts. Additional underbody photos can be seen in the gallery below.
Records from the past six years are included in the sale. The car is registered in New York, which does not issue titles for vehicles produced before 1972. Interior and exterior driving videos are shown below.
